Verteil Technologies, the leading NDC distribution company, has announced the roll out of NDC content of the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, Oman Air, in Verteil Direct Connect. NDC is the next technology wave that is modernizing the distribution landscape, with airlines not being constrained by the current legacy distribution systems in introducing innovative products and personalized services. With this activation, Oman Air continues to forge ahead in offering its rich content to a wider network of travel companies who can directly connect with the airline through the NDC distribution channel. Oman Air joins an elite list of NDC airlines available in Verteil Direct Connect.
Verteil has launched the revolutionary NDC distribution channel for Oman Air, using its direct connect distribution platform Verteil Direct Connect (VDC) which allows the airline to bypass the 40-year-old legacy distribution channels and distribute its content directly to travel agencies.Travel Agencies will have access to Oman Air’s complete Offer and Order Management services right from shopping, booking, ticketing, to post booking servicing as well as ancillary management through VDC.
VDC facilitates direct, real-time connectivity with Oman Air using NDC APIs thus accelerating the adoption of airline retailing without being constrained by the limitations of current legacy distribution systems. Travel service providers can get access to NDC content from Oman Air and the rest of Verteil’s airline partners through Verteil's distribution platform by either using Verteil’s comprehensive NDC front office tool or integration via Verteil’s Universal API.
