Etihad Airways and its NDC Capabilities

Etihad Airways, one of the two flagship Airline carriers of UAE, currently holds equity stakes in multiple Airlines such as Virgin Australia, Air Berlin, Air Seychelles, Air Serbia, Jet Airways, Darwin Airlines and Alitalia. Etihad introduced its own Airline Alliance group, Etihad Airways Partners in 2014 and holds partnerships with over 20 Airlines like Air New Zealand, Air Canada, American Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Gulf Air. It also maintains codesharing agreements with these carriers to expand its list of destinations and amenities to passengers. Etihad has its own share of loyalty programs and incentives for business and leisure travellers. These include: 

Etihad Guest: this is a loyalty program for frequent flyers. Passengers can avail and redeem tier miles by flying with Etihad and its partner Airlines. The miles can be used to access luxury lounges, priority boarding and cabin upgrades.   

Business Connect: loyalty program targeted for small to medium sized enterprises. Business travellers can earn and use the accrued miles to access ancillaries and other pre-boarding and in-flight benefits.     

AU and NZ Airpass: this is a multi-city flight program incentive that helps passengers save money while making the most out of their travels. You need to first book an Etihad flight from Europe, Middle East or Africa to Australia. Then choose a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 flights with Virgin Airlines. The booking system will automatically select the AU and NZ pass and accumulate the price into a single booking.  

Etihad Holidays: it allows you to book tour packages to multiple locations starting at £50 per person deposit. 

Super Seller: an incentive program and a guide for frontline Travel Agents to earn and redeem miles and change it to cash.  

Etihad is a Level 4 certified NDC Airline. Travel Agents can access its NDC distribution platform, Etihad Connect, to access the latest add ons and incentives of Etihad Airways and its partner airlines. ‍
