Press Release

Verteil Technologies is delighted to announce that our leading NDC aggregator platform, Verteil Direct Connect (VDC) is now IATA Financial gateway (IFG) certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This enables our direct connect distribution solution to act as a central payment place for airlines as well as travel service providers while at same time enabling BSP/ARC reporting capability. Verteil Technologies is one of the earliest IATA certified NDC Level 3 IT Providers which has acquired the IFG certification from IATA for its direct connect distribution platform.

Flowchart representing how payment and processing works with Verteil’s IFG certification

IATA Financial Gateway (IFG) is an omni-channel payment aggregation platform that allows airlines to manage and optimize their different sales payment processes through a single global connection. Fully dedicated to the airline industry and designed to meet the payment needs of all airline business models and sale channels, IFG provides to airlines a flexible and complete payment process, ensuring the consistency and availability of different payment options through all distribution channels to reduce payment costs, increase sales conversion rates and provide a seamless user experience through the entire passenger journey.

“This is a very important milestone for Verteil’s Direct Connect Distribution Platform as we can now offer a cost-effective solution for our partner airlines with simplified payment processes to accept different forms of payment based on the geographic region of operation. Our partner airlines are empowered to increase their global footprint and enhance sales opportunities with a single global connection accessing all payment processors including BSP and ARC and with improved system security underpinned with PCI-DSS certification. This will facilitate and accelerate new forms of Airline Retailing” said Jerrin Jos, Founder & CEO, Verteil Technologies.

Aleks Popovich, IATA’s Senior Vice President, Financial and Distribution Services, said, “The IATA Financial Gateway responds to airline’s needs to accept multiple forms of payment based on each market’s demand and across all distribution channels. By achieving IFG certification, Verteil Technologies is helping airlines take advantage of new opportunities while addressing cost and complexity issues accompanying different distribution and payment processes.”
